Richmond Hill Georgia Baseball, Circa 1949

Richmond Hill Georgia Baseball

Big thanks to Angus

These gentlemen, according to what I know, were a local baseball team here in Richmond Hill, circa 1949. It is said that this particular picture was taken in The Bottoms.

We think we know who a few of them are. We would like you to help us indentify them all and tell their stories…

I think the guy in the back row , left is Roland Harrison?

  2. Angus McLeod says:

Took the basbeball picture Circa 1949 to Plums yesterday. Meet with the
DP club having breakfast. They could only identify 4 on the back rowe.
Left to Right Dale Mitchen, Dough Ellis, D.A Miner, and Bobby Carpenter.

Why would anyone want to stop here and spend a dime..police deptment there handing out petty tickets from anything from tag lights out to not signaling. Hundred dollar tickets for nothing but end of month cash ins…what a horrid place to call home

  4. James, As a resident and business
owner in Richmond Hill and I am sure I speak for the residents, business owners and families; of our beautiful city-that we are glad not to have to call you our neighbor. However, anytime you would like to come back and help support our local police department and community with your traffic tickets, please feel free.

  5. James Witman says:

Thats for sure all it is…money grab. Paying tickets for legitimate wrong doings is one thing…but quotas filled with petty money grabs is plain wrong. They are simply looking for the dollar not public saftey.
