The Derailment of my College Education

Nope, I am not getting slack. My books actually were derailed and thus delayed my pursuit of higher learning.

So that you know that I am not making light of a deadly situation, I did look the accident up. Seems the accident occurred in California. Two tankers caught on fire and produced some hazardous fumes which resulted in an evacuation. But, I didn’t see where anybody was hurt.

According to the UPS website, my books should be here today and I can get on with getting smart.

  1. LOL “The train crashed my homework”.

    • Athol – heehee 🙂 Original, I know…would be hilarious if it weren’t true. Wait – it’s still making me giggle. Only because nobody got hurt.

  2. Creechman says:

    Oh my God! That’s accuracy.

  3. You call that an excuse? Were you able to type this with a straight face? A true warrior (say maybe a former ET2 in the Navy) would have made a beeline to California…dove into the wreckage…and rescued those books. But I guess you wanted to take the easy way out:) Take care girl…hope things are going well for you and the family. I start Princeton Seminary in September and am looking forward to it. I’ll be in touch before I PCS. Be good. See ya.

    • Danny – I can’t believe you have finally found the comment button. I often wondered if you lurked around here. I thought I would provoke you say hello with the Bulldog posts during football season. My college education is what it took – good to know 🙂

Things here are going well. I am assuming your beautiful family is well. I am looking forward to hearing how the seminary goes. I am sure you will sail right through.

  4. Wow. I sure am behind on the times. Didn’t even know you were thinking about college. Does this bode well for the process??? A train wreck and all… Good luck and I look forward to hearing about your progress!

    • Carrie – nah, not behind…it’s just one of those things. Always wanted a degree…now I am gonna go get me one…as long as the trains stay on the track 🙂
