Richmond Hill 9 year old has a surprising birthday request

Maybe it shouldn’t be so surprising.  Maybe this kinda thing should be routine.  Maybe one day it will be.

But for now, Jaydon is special.  So are the parents who raised him.

Jaydon has a birthday coming up – his 9th to be exact.  Actually, for all I know, he could be nine by now.  At any rate, his birthday request was not a PS3, a WII, or even a new puppy.

Jaydon is going to help the firefighters for his birthday.  He and his mom, with the help of local firefighters, have started collecting things for the Red Cross.  These things are intended to assist those battling the rash of wild fires occurring due to the drought.

You can read Jayden’s story in The Bryan County News

There is contact information if you would like to help.

There is inspiration if you want to start a mission yourself.
